وتحدث كلوب اليوم الجمعة، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الخاص بمباراة ليفربول وبورنموث، وسُئل عن مستوى لويس دياز.

وقال كلوب: “ربما نسيت، لكن في الماضي كان لدينا ربما أفضل ثلاثة لاعبين منذ وقت طويل، ماني، فيرمينو، صلاح؛ كم مرة كنا نناقش تراجع مستواهم؟ لقد ناقشنا ذلك في ذلك الوقت لكن لم يكن لها تأثير كبير”.

وأضاف: “إذا لم يكن لويس دياز يلعب بشكل رائع فلا يجب أن أخبره، فهو يعرف أكثر مما أعرف، الأمر يتعلق بالإيمان والثقة والوقت والصبر، لم يكن هناك شك في أنه سيعود بالتأكيد”.

وأكد كلوب: “بشكل عام، لم نكن نواجه صعوبات في خلق الفرص أو تسجيل الأهداف، هذا هو الحال، لدينا ثقة عامة وإيمان في الأولاد ولهذا السبب يمرون بذلك لمدة أسبوعين أو ثلاثة أسابيع بعد أصعب وقت في حياته والذي لم يكن مستعدًا له (إشارة لاختطاف والد دياز في وقت سابق)”.

وأردف كلوب: “لقد عاد، لقد تحدثت معه، عندما جاء إلى هنا، لاحظت أنه لا يستطيع ألا يبتسم، لقد افتقدت ذلك قليلاً وعادت تلك الابتسامة”.

وبشأن خصمه بورنموث، استطرد: “حينما لا أواجههم فأنا معجب بما يفعله بورنموث، بداية صعبة مع تغيير المدرب والنتائج، إذا لم تنظر بشكل صحيح، يمكن أن يحدث ذلك لكنهم قلبوا الأمور وهذا هو التدريب المناسب”.

وتابع: “مزيج جيد حقًا، لعب كرة قدم واستخدام سولانكي بطريقة مثيرة، لكنني لا أعتقد أنهم يستعدون ويقولون الحمد لله أن ليفربول قادم، أريد أن نظهر ذلك أيضًا، لا أستطيع أن أتذكر مباراة لم تكن صعبة لأنه لم يحدث أبدًا”.

وبشأن دومينيك سولانكي الذي انضم إلى بورنموث، شدد كلوب: “أنا سعيد جدًا من أجله لأنه عندما وقعنا معه كنا جميعًا متحمسين جدًا لموهبته، كان لديه الكثير من الإمكانات ولكن كان لدينا مهاجمون جيدون آخرون أيضًا”.
