Graeme Swann believes Kevin Pietersen is not a natural captain and has claimed the batsman was never the right man to lead England. Swann, who captained England himself in the Twenty20s against West Indies last month, suggested that Andrew Strauss’s calm leadership style has been central to England’s success.Pietersen was named England captain in August 2008, but his tenure lasted just five months after a much-publicised spat with then-coach Peter Moores. Strauss then took up the role and his harmonious partnership with Andy Flower has seen England crowned the world’s No. 1 Test team.In his new book, , Swann claims Pietersen does not command respect in the same way as the more reserved Strauss.”There is no doubt that Kev is a good player, a really fine batsman, but he was never the right man to captain England in my opinion,” Swann said. “Some people are better leaders of men, and Kev, for all his abundant talent is not one of those natural leaders.”I wouldn’t say he was a useless captain, but he wasn’t my sort of captain, and we’ve ended up with the right man. فتوح انضم إلى قائمة مباراة الزمالك وفيوتشر، إلا أن نبيه استبعده من قائمة الـ18 قبل المواجهة.

استطاع الزمالك الفوز على فيوتشر بهدفين لهدف، في المباراة التي أقيمت اليوم الأحد بالجولة الـ16 من عمر مسابقة الدوري.

وقال نبيه خلال تصريحات في المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة: “فتوح كان بعيدًا عن التدريبات الجماعية خلال الفترة الماضية”.

وأضاف: “بعد عودتي، عاد مرة أخرى للتدريبات الجماعية، كان من الصعب مشاركته اليوم بعد غيابه عن التدريبات لمدة طويلة”.

وواصل: “مباراة فاركو القادمة سيكون جاهزًا للمشاركة، بعد جاهزيته فنيًا وبدنيًا”.

وأكمل المدير الفني للزمالك: “جئنا من مرحلة صعبة جدا وكان ضروري أن نعمل على عدة جوانب معنوية، وساعدنا اليوم إصرار اللاعبين وقدمنا شوط أول جيد ونجحنا في تسجيل هدفين وأضعنا أكثر من كرة وفي الشوط الثاني فيوتشر قدم أداء منظمًا ولكننا نجحنا في المطلوب”.

واستطرد: “المباريات القادمة جميعها صعبة، لأننا خامس الدوري وهذا لم نتعامل معه خلال المواسم الماضية، لكننا سنعمل بكل جد، الفترة القادمة علينا أن نكسب مباريات وليس أن نلعب، هذه المرحلة علينا المكسب فقط ومرحلة اللعب ستأتي”.

وتابع: “أشكر اللاعبين والجماهير على دعمهم لنا، كانت هناك حيرة بسبب التغييرات لأن اللاعبين الموجودين في الملعب قدموا شكلاً فنيًا جيدًا، يجب أن تعلم جيداً كيفية التعامل النفسي مع اللاعبين، وسيف الجزيري يحتاج لتعامل نفسي معين، أنا تواجدت في النادي لمدة عامين وتشرفت أنني عملت مع فيريرا فهو إضافة كبيرة لأي مكان”.

South Africa had also lost two early wickets in their innings, with R Vinay Kumar and Varun Aaron striking once each to leave them 7 for 2.Stiaan van Zyl anchored South Africa’s innings, scoring 97. India chipped away at the wickets at the other end, with Umesh Yadav picking up two wickets and Iqbal Abdulla grabbing three. Richard Levi partnered van Zyl in the biggest partnership of the innings – 83 runs for the fourth wicket – and Shaun von Berg added 59 runs down the order. Surrey slumped to the fourth defeat of their Twenty20 campaign against a rampant Somerset at The Oval, limping to 131 for 8 in pursuit of the visitors’ 169 for 7. A typically explosive start from Marcus Trescothick set the platform for James Hildreth’s fluent fifty, and a slick all-round performance from Somerset’s bowling attack meant Surrey were never able to launch a full assault on the target.Trescothick, who is the competition’s leading runscorer by some distance, continued his rich vein of form to put together an opening stand of 58 in five overs with a far more subdued Peter Trego. He slammed three fours and a six in the first five balls of Yasir Arafat’s second over to motor to 35 from just 16 deliveries, but was then clean bowled heaving at the sixth to give Surrey some respite.Zafar Ansari’s introduction in the seventh over tempered Somerset even further, as he conceded just three runs from his first six deliveries and generally denied the batsmen the opportunity to score. Ansari showed that he has talent with bat as well as ball in an enterprising 24, but by then the game was dead and Somerset’s fifth Twenty20 win of the season was assured. The two points they earned took them up to second in the Points Table behind Hampshire.
