اعترف مدافع الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، جول كوندي، أنه فضل الانتقال إلى قلعة “كامب نو” رغم وجود اهتمام قوي من قبل تشيلسي في الأسابيع الماضية.

ووقع كوندي على عقد رسمي مع برشلونة لمدة 5 سنوات ليستمر في الفريق الكتالوني حتى يونيو 2027، وبداية مغامرة جديدة بعد الرحيل عن إشبيلية في مسيرته الكروية.

وتحدث الفرنسي الدولي عن المفاوضات التي أجراها مع الأندية قبل التوقيع مع برشلونة: “نعم، أرادني تشيلسي للانتقال إليه، لكنني اخترت المجيء إلى هنا”.

وأضاف: “أردت منذ البداية الانتقال إلى برشلونة، لم يكن هناك تردد في هذا الاختيار”.

وتابع: “استمراري في الدوري الإسباني سيسهل علي التأقلم مع برشلونة، لكن قبل كل شيء، مستعد لتنفيذ كل شيء يحتاجه مني النادي والمدرب”.

وعن المنافسة مع مدافعي برشلونة: “مفيدة وجيدة للفريق، المدرب هو من يحدد من يشارك في المباريات، لقد جئت لكي أنمو وأتطور هنا، أساعد زملائي في تحقيق الفوز، أريد أن أنافس جميع اللاعبين، هذا تحدٍ بالنسبة لي”.

يعلم فرينكي دي يونج بالفعل ما عليه فعله إذا أراد البقاء في نادي برشلونة، حيث يرفض الهولندي حتى الآن الخروج رغم سعي مانشستر يونايتد لضمه.

وفقًا لصحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية، خفض راتبه هو شرط أساسي، وأبلغ نادي برشلونة بالفعل لاعب خط الوسط الهولندي أن تقليص راتبه هو شرط مواصلة اللعب في كامب نو.

برشلونة أخبر دي يونج أنه لا توجد أنصاف الحلول إذا كان يريد البقاء، وأشارت بعض المعلومات إلى أن الرقم الذي سيتم التخلي عنه سيكون أكثر من 4 ملايين يورو سنويًا.

دي يونج هو أحد اللاعبين الذين لديهم أعلى راتب في الفريق، ويتجاوز بكثير حدود سلم الرواتب الجديد الذي يريد نادي برشلونة فرضه على الفريق.

نظرًا لأنها قضية حساسة، فإن النادي يريد أن يكون محاور اللاعب في هذا الأمر هو جوردي كرويف، السكرتير الفني ومواطنه، إنهم مقتنعون بأنه من الأنسب لتحقيق الهدف أن يقبل اللاعب تخفيض راتبه.

Crystal Palace could be set to add further reinforcements to their first team squad after they were linked with a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

According to 90min, the 30-year-old is set to depart the Emirates Stadium once his current contract expires next summer, with neither the player nor the club keen to reach an agreement.

The report states: “90min understands that talks between the Gunners and the player’s representatives have taken place, but there has been no offer of a new contract. What’s more, neither club nor player appear keen to try and reach an agreement, leading to a parting of ways.”

It also claimed that Lacazette is not short of potential suitors, with clubs across the continent interested in securing his services.

He will be free to sign a pre-contract with an overseas club once he enters the final six months of his expiring deal in January with clubs in Spain, Germany and Italy reportedly monitoring the situation, but his former side Lyon and Premier League duo West Ham United and Palace are also named as possible destinations.

Lacazette rose through the ranks at boyhood club Lyon and established himself as one of the most exciting forwards in his homeland during his time in Ligue 1. He bagged a remarkable 129 goals and provided a further 43 assists in just 275 appearances for Les Gones, helping them win the French Cup along the way.

The Frenchman’s remarkable form earned him a £46.5m move to Arsenal back in July 2017, a club-record fee for the north London outfit at the time, but he has perhaps not had the impact that many might have been anticipating.

Despite scoring 67 goals and laying on a further 29 assists in 173 outings for the Gunners, Lacazette only has one FA Cup success to show for his efforts on English shores and has failed to fire the north Londoners back to the Champions League.

Nevertheless, his ability to put the ball in the net has rarely been in doubt, with Arsene Wenger previously lauding him for having that knack, saying: “Scoring goals is about being in the right place, and Lacazette has that quality.”

The prospect of him linking up with fellow countryman Odsonne Edouard at Selhurst Park is a mouth-watering possibility.

Edouard marked his Palace debut in style with two goals against Tottenham Hotspur, and the 23-year-old would surely benefit from his compatriot’s tutelage should Lacazette make the switch across London.

Therefore, Eagles chairman Steve Parish must sanction a move for the £25.2m-rated hitman, bringing a proven Premier League goalscorer into Patrick Vieira’s setup and adding the finishing touches to the club’s already impressive squad overhaul.

Leeds United have now opened contract talks with Kalvin Phillips amid Manchester United eyeing up a summer move for him.

What’s the story?

Football Insider recently revealed that “a source with knowledge of Phillips’ situation” had claimed “the player is very keen on signing an extension with the club he has spent his entire career.”

And now, The Daily Star have claimed that with United having turned their attentions towards the midfielder and plotting a potential £60m move for him next summer, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have taken the first steps to tying him down to a new contract at Elland Road.

It’s added: “Phillips, 25, is under contract at Elland Road until 2024 and has not agitated for a move. But Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani knows a lucrative move to a bigger club could appeal to Phillips in the not too distant future and is keen to tie him down to a new and improved deal.”

Fans will be delighted

Such is the importance Phillips has on this Leeds side, former Whites man Andrew Hughes said: “The only way to get someone who can cover and do the same job perfectly is to spend £50m, at least. That’s what a player like him costs. Rather than talking about how other players match up, you just have to accept he’s very special.”

As per WhoScored, Phillips ranked in the top three for both tackles and interceptions made per game in the top-flight last term for Leeds, while he also figured highly for key passes per match, sitting in fourth.

أصدر الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا” قراره النهائي بشأن القضية التي قدمها النجم التونسي حمدي النقاز ضد ناديه السابق أهلي جدة السعودي.

وكان النقاز طالب فيفا بالحصول على مستحقاته المالية المتأخرة البالغ قيمتها 4 ملايين و500 ألف ريال شاملة الرواتب وقيمة الشرط الجزائي وذلك لكون الأهلي فسخ تعاقده مع اللاعب في يناير الماضي من طرف واحد دون موافقة اللاعب.

وأكد التونسي أنيس بن ميم وكيل النقاز في حديث لصحيفة “عكاظ” السعودية إن فيفا قد ألزم النادي الأهلي بسداد مبلغ 3.5 مليون ريال للاعب التونسي.

Dara O’Shea’s injury is a massive blow, former West Brom midfielder Carlton Palmer has told The Transfer Tavern.

The Baggies defender sustained a fractured ankle while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and could now miss up to six months of action, the club has confirmed.

O’Shea has been an important player for West Brom in this early part of the season. The 22-year-old has started the Midlands outfit’s first five games and currently has the highest WhoScored rating (7.73) in Valerien Ismael’s squad.

West Brom acted quickly by bringing in Kean Bryan on a free transfer, but Palmer feels O’Shea’s injury is still a huge setback, nevertheless.

“Devastating,” the ex-West Brom player said in response to the news about O’Shea’s injury. “He’s been very instrumental for West Brom.

“He’s obviously got the experience of being in international football. It’s a massive blow to them.”

Other than that and a few other injury problems they have, it has been a positive season for West Brom so far.

They are currently top of the Championship table with 14 points, yet to lose a game. Ismael will now be hoping for Bryan or whoever fills in for O’Shea to step up to help the team maintain this excellent start to the campaign.

Speaking to Football Insider, the BBC Radio 5 Live pundit and ex-Scotland international has been left baffled by his decision to sit in the dug-out with Tottenham players during Premier League matches so far this season.

Both the 49-year-old and fellow club chief Steve Hitchen have been present in the technical area for Spurs’ last two home matches in the English top flight, something which is said to unsettle some Lilywhites players according to The Sun.

Giving his take, Hutton is in full agreement that this practice is ‘strange’.

“That’s a strange one – I’ve never seen that before,” he explained.

“You don’t see Daniel Levy down there sitting next to the manager.

“I know the manager and the director of football have to have a good working relationship, but when it comes to game day and matters on the field – it’s all about the manager and the players.

“I don’t think the director of football has to be anywhere near that.

“He’s done his job with the recruitment; he doesn’t have to be down there.

“If I was sitting there and the director of football was sat next to me – that would feel a little bit strange.”

The Verdict: Unneccessary?

While it is fairly entertaining as a bystander getting to watch the enigmatic Paratici and co in the dugout with Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, if it makes players uncomfortable, the former Juventus transfer guru should return upstairs.

The last thing Nuno needs as he aims to nurture Tottenham’s steady momentum is needless disruption, especially from the club’s managing director of all people.
